The Bantry Mill Culvert Upgrade Project is a key infrastructure initiative being delivered by Cork County Council. Its primary objective is to upgrade/replace the existing Mill Culvert This culvert currently runs beneath Bridge Street, New Street and Wolfe Tone Square before discharging into Bantry Harbour.
The proposed upgrade will involve the construction of a new, larger culvert designed to convey flows more effectively, along with the removal of foul connections from the culvert and the construction of a separate surface water network with pumping stations.
